Zorba and Afortunada

Sooo, here is a quick submission to free our favourite cat. I shoulda thought April Fools' on DA was going to be special, one way or another.

Anyway, one thing you should probably know about me is that I love really fat cats. I mean, ridiculously big, fluffy, well-fed and lazy cats. I adore them. And this unconditional love started when I read what has come to be my favourite for-children-and-adults-alike book, Historia de una Gaviota y del gato que le enseñó a volar by Louis Sepulveda. The protagonist is a lazy, big, black cat, Zorba, who takes care of a seagull chick, Afortunada (Lucky) and teaches her to fly, while simultaneously trying to rid the city of evil, giant sewer rats.

Enzo D'Alò, an Italian director, made a beauuutiful animated film out of it, which is still considered a children's classic where I come from.
